    On Friday, EA announced that not only was the The Sims 3 the number one selling PC game in America for 2009, it was the number one selling PC game world-wide.  The company got its information from independent tracking companies along with their own sales data. In June of last year the game had sold 3.7 million units; current to-date sales are placed at 4.5 million units for the game.     Some fans of The Sims were greeted with a let down when attempting to play their copy of The Sims 3. Luckily EA jumped on the ball and is attempting to help with the problems. The first problem occuring is the Disc Authentication Failure where the disc can't be read.  For help with that, read the Disc Authentication topic in The Sims 3 forum.
