Even though we don’t have any image gallery on this site yet, we were still pretty sure that you would want to see the several new images on the upcoming Halo game, Halo: Reach, that were posted by Bungie today. But the new media doesn’t stop there.

New concept art was also posted on Bungie’s Halo: Reach site. But wait, there’s more! The fun just keeps on coming. Character bios also appeared on the site, just in case you want to get to know your team of Spartans before the game appears on store shelves later this year.
Normally, we would end the post there and let you enjoy the eye candy that is Halo; but this time, something seems a little fishy. Several people, including myself, noticed something suspicious in this one screen. If you look on the left side of the image, right above the HUD’s map, you’ll see a scrambled spot. Bungie is obviously trying to hide something from us, but what could it be? You might also take note that this is the only screenshot that includes the HUD, and that the reticle is not in the center of the screen. This one image sparks so many questions…
It’s been a long and difficult road for Interplay’s Fallout MMO (code named “Project: V13”), including some legal troubles with Bethesda. But in a recent post on Interplay’s website, we’re told that “definitive agreements” have been finalized with Masthead Studios, and development has continued.

To brighten your day even more, read the following quote:
“Masthead’s technology is impressive and perfect for our Project: V13. Its team is passionate to bring our vision and game play to the market. This MMOG will have many unique features that we will disclose before launch of the public Beta in 2012,” Interplay Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Herve Caen said when he heard of the agreement announcement.
Interplay began development of the Fallout MMO in November 2007, with Masthead Studios joining the development process in early 2009. The only thing that has slowed the process down is the legal battles with Fallout 3 developer, Bethesda. Bethesda sued Interplay over a “breach of the contract” that was agreed to when Bethesda received the rights to develop Fallout 3. Bethesda claimed that it was against their agreement when Interplay began reissuing the old Fallout games. They were also suing over the rights to make the Fallout MMO, which obviously, Interplay won the battle.
2012 is still a long ways off, so to calm your nerves, try waiting for Fallout: New Vegas instead.
The Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions hit the shelves last November, but the PC version of Assassin’s Creed II was delayed til the Q1 2010 release window. But Ubisoft today revealed that PC gamers need wait not much longer, as Assassin’s Creed II will find its way onto your PC on March 16th.
But Ubisoft apparently couldn’t keep the crowd happy for long, as they also announced the unusually high price of $59.99 for the game. It’s very rare for PC games to be priced as much as console games, but to kind of make up for it, the game will come packaged with two of the upcoming DLC packs, Battle of Forli and Bonfire of the Vanities. A “Black Edition” of the game will also be available for $64.99, which includes the 2 DLC packs and “additional content” that’s not included in the standard edition. The Black Edition will be digital-download only.
On top of all of that, Ubisoft also revealed the system requirements, which are posted after the break:
On Friday, EA announced that not only was the The Sims 3 the number one selling PC game in America for 2009, it was the number one selling PC game world-wide. The company got its information from independent tracking companies along with their own sales data.

In June of last year the game had sold 3.7 million units; current to-date sales are placed at 4.5 million units for the game.
EA noted that The Sims 3 Exchange has had major success with over 100 million pieces of content downloaded since last June. Congratulations to EA for their success with The Sims 3!
Yesterday Microsoft announced that on February 2nd, a new map pack titled Mythic Map Pack 2 will be available for Halo 3 users on February 2nd. This new addition to your game will cost MSP800 ($10)

Expect three new multiplayer maps including a revamped take on Halo 2’s Midship arena.
On the European Playstation.Blog, Mike Kebby of the Playstation Store Management Team announced that a demo for Heavy Rain will be available in the Playstation Store on February 11.
This is subject to change noting the fact that the game itself is set to be released in late February.
Nolan North has lent his voice to over one hundred video games since 1999. And he apparently just can’t keep his mouth shut, because he has told GamePro that he is working on sequels to both Assassin’s Creed 2 and Uncharted 2.
North is most noteable for his voice role as Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series. But he has also done voicing for other recent big titles such as Assassin’s Creed 1 and 2, Halo 3: ODST, Metal Gear Solid 4, Dragon Age: Origins, inFamous, Prince of Persia, Gears of War 2, and many many more.
He also revealed that he is doing other voicing this year for ”a couple of other big premiers that are still unannounced.”
In what is now being referred to as the quietest launch in Grand Theft Auto franchise history, Chinatown Wars is now available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The game snuck its way onto the App Store sometime early this morning without any announcement or rumor whatsoever.
The game is available for a much smaller price tag of $9.99 than that of the PSP and DS versions. But that seems to be a good thing, because early reports indicate that the game is a pretty near reproduction of the DS and PSP versions.
It’s also kind of fun to take into consideration that atleast one Grand Theft Auto title is now available on every current gaming platform except for the Nintendo Wii. Oh poor Wii. If only you could compete.
It turns out that we were right when we guessed as to why Splinter Cell: Conviction was delayed yesterday. The delay was decided on because the game needs “a bit more polish,” which is what Ubisoft told Eurogamer today as to the cause of the delay. “The game looks brilliant, but we want it to be awesome,” a spokesperson added.
Rumor had it that the delay was to push the game later into the year to get out of the nearly full release schedule of other highly anticipated triple-A titles this Q1. But that doesn’t appear to be the case. But it would have made sense, because titles like Mass Effect 2 (Jan 26th), MAG (Jan 26th), Bioshock 2 (Feb 9th), Heavy Rain (Feb 23rd), Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (March 2nd), Final Fantasy XIII (March 9th), God of War III (March), and Red Dead Redemption (April 27th) are just a few that are coming out in the first part of the year.
It would appear that Netflix is attempting to take over the world. If not the world, than it’s atleast attempting to brainwash all gamers….Okay, so we may be totally off on this. But we do know one thing: Netflix is definitely trying to expand its audience. According to New York Times, Netflix services will soon be coming to the Wii.

The Wii will be joining the already Netflix-capable Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 sometime this Spring. Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo of America, said that this deal “is a continuation of an effort to bring more and more entertainment to consumers who interact with the Wii,” Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime says.
Like the Playstation 3, people wanting to use Netflix on their Wii will need a free software disc from Netflix, sent through the mail, to use the service. The movies are still downloadable, but the user has to insert the software disc everytime they want to watch.
Also, unlike the PS3 and 360, the Wii is not capable of playing high definition movies. There’s no remedy for that except to buy a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360.
