Division-Gaming.com will return in time to cover E3 in all of its video game glory. E3 kicks off June 14th with the Microsoft Press Conference. Division-Gaming will be on staff live to cover it with a liveblog, with up-to-the-minute updates. All of the major press conferences will be covered, by us, with a liveblog.

We can sort of expect this to be the last time we’ll been gone for a long period of time. After E3 is over next week, major changes will be happening to Division-Gaming.com, and to the entire Division-Gaming Network. Check out www.division-gaming.net for more information.

A press release on Nintendo’s Japanese site confirmed the company’s new handheld system, the “Nintendo 3DS.” As the name indicates, it will incorporate 3D technology; but we’re unsure if this will be the name of the final product.

If the inclusion of 3D technology itself wasn’t surprising enough, what really gets us is that there is no need to wear special 3D glasses. Not much else, system detail-wise, was said in the announcement, aside from that this new system will have DS and DSi backwards compatibility. The only other solid info was that it is being released ”during the fiscal year ending March 2011.”

A couple of Japanese papers reported on the new system, and unveiled what we believe to be as more details (yet still unconfirmed). One paper said that the system will have a Sharp 3D LCD panel. The screen(s) will have a special film attached just above the screens, which will create a 3D effect for the player. The other paper reports on the control stick (which we’re unsure exactly what they’re talking about based on the translation, but we can assume it’s an analog control stick), extended battery life, rumble support, and faster wi-fi.

The Nintendo press release also confirmed that there will be an official unveil at this year’s E3, where it will be on display.

The date is also revealed in the new Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days trailer, which can be viewed after the break. And just for fun, I’ll tell you that the game will be released August 27th in Europe.

Eidos Interactive has confirmed that Game of the Year edition will be coming to the US in May. This edition comes complete with the original game, plus four extra challenge maps. Not to mention…3D! I might go out and buy it just to give the 3D a try. The game of the year trailer can be seen after the break:

Edge says their source told them that Gears of War 3 is due for release in April 2011, and the long wait is most likely due to a few key factors.

“Microsoft’s keen to avoid a clash with Halo: Reach and wants Natal to own Christmas. That’s why we won’t be seeing Gears Of War 3 until next year, but expect a major marketing push ahead of its release,” said Edge’s source.

The source went on to tell Edge that a teaser trailer will be revealed on April 8th. A full reveal of the game is apparently going to happen at this year’s E3.

As this is to be treated as a rumor, it should be noted that Epic Games president Mike Capps recently hinted at a major game announcement to be made by Epic at E3 this year.

The demo is prerelease, as it will release this Thursday, March 18th, according to an Inside Xbox Video. The video shows some gameplay from the demo. So uh, yeah, that’s it. Enjoy.

Modern Warfare 2’s “Stimulus Package” map pack is coming March 30th, and we can now tell you that it is coming ‘packaged’ with 5 brand new maps. Well, sort of brand new. Two of the maps are Call of Duty 4 remakes. Do you remember “Crash” and “Overgrown”? They’ll be making a return, as they were apparently fan favorites. An Xbox Live Marketplace listing details the 3 new ones:

“ ”Bailout,” a multi-layered apartment complex, “Storm,” an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery; “Salvage,” a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars. “

The map pack will cost 1200 MS points, or $15. It is currently Xbox Live exclusive, but will presumably make its way to PSN eventually.

Crackdown 2 will hit shelves in North America on July 6th. Releases in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand will follow on July 8th, with Europe’s release on July 9th. It was originally expected for a “first half of 2010″ release. Oh so close.

A demo will be released sometime before the July 6th release so we can get a small taste of what’s to come in the full game.

Rumor has it that Activision is playing dirty. They are continuing to delay the payment of royalties in order to keep people on staff and working. It’s a dirty move, but clever. The royalties are for Modern Warfare 2, and every Infinity Ward employee that had their hand in the game is due some amount of royalty payment. Infinity Ward usually pays their workers “regular or even low” salaries, but offer “ridiculous royalties.”

The morale at Infinity Ward’s studio is apparently “extremely low.” We can understand why. Their bosses were fired, and they are being denied money that they earned. So yeah, we can understand low morale.

We don’t know whether the demo will be single player or co-op, or even both. We also don’t know whether this will be a prerelease demo or not. Splinter Cell: Conviction is set for release on April 13th.
