UPDATE: TaleWorlds has stopped accepting application forms, but be sure to look for the release of Warband on September 1st!
The team over at TaleWorlds have sent out application forms for the new Mount & Blade expansion. However, it isn’t mentioned when the servers will start up.
“Since server capacity will be limited, we’ll be able to accept a limited number of applicants to the beta tests. Our choice criteria will be as follows:
- Applicants who enter a valid serial key are much more likely to be selected than those who do not.
- As we open new test servers, we’ll invite new beta testers whose locations are close to that server’s location. For example, if we open a server in Germany, we’ll invite testers who live in Europe.
- Other than that, selection will be random.”
As you may or may not know, Mount & Blade is a medieval, single-player, RPG for the PC. It was developed by Turkish company TaleWorlds and released commercially late last year. The game is best known for its great combat mechanics and character skill system. The game also features a highly active modding community, making it extremely replayable. Its sequel will update graphics, A.I., and diplomacy, as well as giving it multiplayer capabilities. It is set to be released September 1st, 2009.
