The latest episode of Qore has been released, but it may have been released a tad bit too early. The episode features host Veronica Belmont speaking in the past tense about E3 and getting a private demo of the PSP Go from SCEA Director of Hardware John Koller. Obviously, this episode of Qore should not be out until late next week at the earliest.
PSP Go is surprisingly similar to some of the fan created concept art of the “PSP 2″. The PSP Go features the sliding screen that slides up to reveal the D-pad, select and starts buttons, and the traditional Playstation buttons. Yet again, it looks like only one thumbstick. The other features mentioned in the Qore episode are: the screen is 3.8 inches, its 44 percent lighter than the PSP-3000, there’s no UMD drive, there’s a Memory Stick micro slot, it’s Bluetooth compatible so that you can use a headset and link it to your cell phone, and the unit includes 16 gigabytes of flash memory.

In the demo with Koller, he mentioned that the PSP Go will not be replacing the PSP-3000, and that they will both be on retail store shelves at the same time. Koller also said that the company plans to continue to support both downloadable and retail-based games, and that the PSP-3000 and PSP Go will have a similar catalog at first but will differ over time.
The PSP Go is expected to ship this fall.
